PHEASANT JAMBOREE

What started out 11 years ago on a bar napkin by 2 local residents, and modeled after the one shot antelope hunt in Wyoming, has turned into the largest fundraising event for the Northern Lights Athletic and Scholarship Foundation. The Legends for Lights Pheasant Jamboree is a combination of former NFL, NHL, MBL and other professional legends along with locals and outdoor enthusiast from across the country coming together for a 4 day jamboree that includes trap shooting, pheasant hunting, a chance to taste the flavor of Havre’s finest , and a little storytelling . Individuals travel from all across the United States to take part in this one of a kind event, some serious, some to just see old friends and have a good time. The main focus of the event is the 2 days of pheasant hunting that takes place on the opening weekend of pheasant hunting. Teams are comprised of 4 members along with 1 legend a huntsmen with dogs and a host. Teams travel across the countryside, to hunt on land that is provided generously by the local landowners, in search of pheasants. The primary purpose of this event is to raise funds to help support our student athletes at MSU-Northern. To donate to this event or participate please contact us.
